Luminances maps show levels of
luminance calculated on the interior envelop of a room. They give
information. They give information on the luminous comfort (quality of
light).
These maps are produced using the same climate conditions and
geometrical environment as before.
They allow to study comfort through:
- REsearch of visual discomfort on the opaque and
transparent interior envelop; luminance contrasts compared to
recommendations.
- Analyses to avoid detected
discomfort
(verifications, displays and advices in particular for protecting
devices for glazings, openings, materials, etc.).
We study the
pleasantness
of ambiences through:
- the respect of architect's
and client's intentions.
- Realistic graphical
display to facilitate qualitative appraisal of pleasantness and the
respect of intentions.
- the minimisation of
discrepancies between the project and the finished building.
