Interpolation algorithm

DL-Light calculates indicators over grids of sensors, defined by the Level of details option. To visualize continual texture over SketchUp model surfaces, interpolation is performed on the whole surface.

The various interpolation algorithms give different results. The choice of the interpolation algorithm is available in the Preferences dialog.

Algorithms available:

• RBF (radial basis function) - The texture is interpolated by a function radial of linear type.
  
• Linear interpolation - The texture is interpolated by a simple linear function.
  
• Voronoi diagram - The pixels of the texture have the color of the closest sensor (nearest neighbor).
